Dr. Holsworth obtained his M.Sc degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, United States (1986) and a Ph.D. degree in the same field from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, United States (1991). He then went on to do Post-Doctoral work in Medicinal Chemistry at Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States (1991-1993).

Currently Dr. Holsworth sits on the Board of Directors for an oncology drug discovery company called ODIN Therapeutics, of which he is also a Co-Founder. He was Director of Medicinal Chemistry at ChemDiv, Inc., where he led their small molecule oncology programs. Also he was an Associate Research Fellow at Ann Arbor, MI, where he led research teams in the cardiovascular disease area. He has also held other positions in the biotech industry.

Dr. Holsworth has achieved 7 clinical candidates in the oncology and cardiovascular therapeutic areas.
